How Full is Your Glass This Holiday Season?

Though each day is a challenge, the next few weeks may be the most difficult ones of the year. But here are some reasons to think about your glass being half-full:

1. Instead of lamenting Thanksgiving as another holiday that your loved one will miss, give thanks to the precious time that you spent together and the legacy that your soul mate left.

2. Rather than dreading the holiday shopping for friends and family, remember all the little presents your loved one gave you – such as a peck on the cheek, a surprise hug or a simple “I love you.”

3. Try not to be sad decorating your Christmas tree or lighting your Chanukah Menorah - let the twinkle of the ornaments or the light of the candles brighten your holiday season.

4. Can this really be a “Happy New Year?” I personally was never a fan of New Year’s Eve and Lauri and I usually celebrated either at ours or a friend’s house with our families – however you celebrate think not about how lonely the upcoming year may be for you but how many new beginnings and possibilities lie ahead.
